One hundred percent of the money raised by FOLAR is spent on developing the greenway-bluewaytrail network, enhancing the river and publicaccess to it, and organizing cleanups and otherevents that protect the river. In addition to recognizingand enjoying the Lower Appomattox Riverby attending river-related events and programs,there are two other ways to get involved directly:
- Volunteer to help FOLAR with cleanups,water-quality monitoring or trail projects
- Participate in one of our many events like the annual Paddle/Battle
- Get out and enjoy the Lower Appomattox riverfront resources
